  • IHCP delays Portal enhancement for converting OPR and rendering provider classifications

    09/07/2018 - The IHCP announced in Banner Page BR201835 that, effective September 9, 2018, actively enrolled OPR providers would be able to convert to rendering providers, or actively enrolled rendering providers would be able to convert to OPR providers, in a single transaction in the IHCP Provider Healthcare Portal. The date for implementing this enhancement has been delayed. The new implementation date will be published after it is established.

  • DXC email addresses changing from @HPE to @DXC, now through September 18, 2018

    07/19/2018 - Now through September 18, 2018, all HPE email addresses (123456@hpe.com) will change to DXC email addresses (123456@dxc.com). After September 18, 2018, emails using the @hpe.com address will no longer be delivered.

  • IHCP clarifies coordination requirements with Southeastrans for facility transport scenarios

    07/12/2018 - The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) works with Southeastrans to manage all nonemergency medical transportation (NEMT) for Traditional Medicaid members. The IHCP is clarifying when coordination through Southeastrans is required for certain types of facility-to-facility transports.

  • IHCP revises HAF adjustment factors for outpatient and inpatient rates

    07/02/2018 - Effective August 1, 2018, the Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) will revise the Hospital Assessment Fee (HAF) adjustment factors used for outpatient reimbursement and inpatient diagnosis-related group (DRG) reimbursement to eligible hospitals. These revised HAF factors apply within the fee-for-service (FFS) and managed care delivery systems, including reimbursement under the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP), Hoosier Care Connect, and Hoosier Healthwise programs.

  • IHCP notifies providers where to find NEMT eligibility information in the Provider Healthcare Portal

    06/01/2018 - With the implementation of Southeastrans as the IHCP non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) broker, the IHCP has enhanced the eligibility feature of the Provider Healthcare Portal. As of June 1, 2018, providers will see Southeastrans listed under the Managed Care Assignment Details panel in the Portal for all fee-for-service (FFS) members who are eligible to receive non-emergency transportation services through Southeastrans.

  • IHCP will implement a transition period for brokered NEMT services

    05/23/2018 - The IHCP is working with Southeastrans Inc. to streamline the way fee-for-service (FFS) members arrange NEMT services effective June 1, 2018. To ensure a smooth execution of the program, the IHCP will implement a 30-day transition period from June 1, 2018, to June 30, 2018. During this time, IHCP-enrolled transportation providers that accept ride requests directly from members, but are not yet contracted with SET, can work with SET to obtain reimbursement.   • Medicare Part D prescription drug copayment issue corrected

    04/12/2018 - Some Medicare Part D prescription drug copayments calculated incorrectly beginning January 1, 2018. As a result, certain IHCP members dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare were asked to pay higher copayments for their prescriptions than should have been required. The Medicare Part D copayment issue has been corrected. Medicare Part D Plans will work with PBMs and pharmacies to ensure claim adjustments are made so that pharmacies and members are reimbursed appropriately.

  • IHCP Portal, IVRS, and EDI transactions will be unavailable due to system upgrade

    03/07/2018 - On Sunday, July 8, 2018, Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) systems, including the Provider Healthcare Portal (Portal), the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, and Electronic Data Interface (EDI) transactions will be unavailable from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m., due to a system upgrade. Full Portal functionality will be restored after this time period.

  • Medicare Part D prescription drug copayments may have calculated incorrectly

    03/01/2018 - The IHCP is making providers aware that Medicare Part D prescription drug copayments may have calculated incorrectly beginning January 1, 2018. As a result, some dually eligible IHCP members have been asked to pay a higher copayment for their prescriptions than should have been required. The Indiana FSSA is working with CMS to correct this issue. Correction is expected in early March.

  • DXC Technology to reissue 1099-MISC Forms

    02/13/2018 - One week of 2016 payments was mistakenly included in the original 2017 1099-MISC forms sent to IHCP providers in January 2018. DXC Technology will correct the error and reissue new 1099-MISC forms. Note that the error did not affect the information reported to all providers, so some providers may not see a change in the dollar amount from the original to the reissued form. Please discard the 1099-MISC forms date stamped January 2018 that were previously received.

  • Project ECHO telehealth clinic focused on hepatitis C launches January 18, 2018

    01/04/2018 - The Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health will launch Indiana’s first telehealth clinic focused on hepatitis C via Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) on Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. ET. The goal of this clinic is to partner community-focused primary care clinicians with specialists to develop treatment plans that enhance the delivery of hepatitis C care. The IHCP encourages providers to join colleagues from around Indiana in the clinic.
