ACA PCP Supplemental Payment for Services Provided to Managed Care and HIP Members

The Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) has been working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to reach an agreed upon methodology for calculating the ACA Primary Care Physician (ACA PCP) payments for services provided to members in managed care plans and the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) program. This week, OMPP received approval from the CMS for the supplemental payment methodology. The OMPP is now working with the managed care organizations to update all necessary contracts. Signed contracts must be submitted to the CMS for review and approval before payments can be issued. Once the signed contracts have been approved by the CMS, payments will be issued for services with dates of services on or after January 1, 2013, or the provider's attestation date, which ever is later. More information will be released as it is available.
