The Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program year ends
soon for 2011 payments
Eligible hospitals (EHs) have until November 30, 2011, to attest
that they adopted, implemented, or upgraded to certified EHR
technology during the federal fiscal year, October 1, 2010, to
September 30, 2011. Applications submitted after this date will not
be eligible for payments for the 2011 payment year.
Eligible providers (EPs) have until February 28, 2012, to attest
that they adopted, implemented, or upgraded to certified EHR
technology during the calendar year, January 1, 2011 to December
31, 2011. Applications submitted after this date will not be
eligible for payments for the 2011 payment year.
Please be aware that not submitting an application before these
dates will not affect your ability to participate in the EHR
Incentive Program in 2012 and future years. Eligible hospitals and
providers have until 2016 to begin participation to receive the
full amount of incentive payments.
