Pharmacy Dispensing Fee Announcement
On September 14, 2011, the U.S. District Court for the Southern
District of Indiana reversed its July 8, 2011, Temporary
Restraining Order and denied the Motion for a Preliminary
Injunction, allowing the State to implement and enforce LSA #11-382(E).
Consequently, pharmacy providers subject to this rule will be
reimbursed up to a maximum of $3.00 dispensing fee per pharmacy
claim retroactive to July 1, 2011 (see BT201120). The IHCP will
systematically mass adjust claims with dates of service on or after
July 1, 2011, through the implementation date. Providers should
monitor forthcoming banners, bulletins, and newsletter articles for
additional details regarding this adjustment activity.
