Spring 2018 IHCP Provider Workshops

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) is offering 11 one-day educational workshops at various locations from February 22 through April 3. All workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Session descriptions

DXC Technology - Provider Enrollment and IHCP Updates (9 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.)

This session explains the benefits of using the Provider Healthcare Portal for submitting provider enrollment applications and updates, and focuses on transactions such as changes of ownership, revalidations, providing accurate supporting documentation, and more.

Conduent - Indiana Centralized Enrollment and Credentialing Verification
(9:50 a.m. - 10:20 a.m.)

Learn about plans for centralized enrollment and credentialing verification, including an introduction of the implementation team, and a summary of the overall scope, current status, and timeline for the project.

Southeastrans - Fee-For-Service Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Broker (10:25 a.m. - 10:55 a.m.)

This session introduces IHCP's new broker for non-emergency medical transportation services within the FFS delivery system.

FSSA - Program Integrity (11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)

This session briefly describes program integrity functions, including:

  • Provider audits
  • Voluntary disclosures
  • Activity updates and annual plans
  • Obtaining additional education/training

Anthem - Anthem Updates Spring 2018 (12:30 p.m. - 1 p.m.)

Anthem focuses on claims adjudication issues, including a detailed overview of National Provider Identifier (NPI) and taxonomy requirements, and steps for correcting claims.

MHS - MHS Spring 2018 Updates (1:05 p.m. - 1:35 p.m.)

This session provides Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) updates as well as reminders about a number of topics, including therapy guidelines, emergency room and durable medical equipment (DME) reimbursement, enrollment updates and patient analytics tools.

MDwise - MDwise Updates Spring 2018 (1:45 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.)

The MDwise Provider Relations team reviews:

  • MDwise quality standards
  • Proper ER utilization methods
  • Quick tips for claims adjudication

CareSource - CareSource Life Services and Spring 2018 Updates
(2:20 p.m. - 2:50 p.m.)

CareSource describes how its Life Services component offers a unique approach to help members make progress toward self-sufficiency and improved health and well-being. This presentation also includes updates for CareSource providers.

MCE, Conduent, Southeastrans, and DXC - Roundtable Discussion
(3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

This session is an open forum for providers to ask questions and discuss issues with managed care entities (MCEs), Conduent, Southeastrans, and DXC.

When you register online, you will receive immediate confirmation. Be sure to register early, as workshops fill up quickly. If for some reason you are unable to register or do not receive a confirmation, please feel free to attend, regardless. Registration is strongly encouraged, but walk-ins will be allowed if space is available.

Please note: When registering to attend the workshop, providers must register for each session they would like to attend. All presentations will be posted on this web page. Providers can print copies of the presentations for reference. Paper copies of the presentations will not be provided at the workshops.
