Session Descriptions

Each workshop will feature the following sessions:

  • DXC Technology - Secondary Claim Submission and IHCP updates (9 a.m.-10:15 a.m.) - This session will explain:
    • How to submit secondary claims on the Provider Healthcare Portal
    • The IHCP Third-Party Liability (TPL) Medicare Special Attachment Form and its requirements
    • How to use secure correspondence to update TPL, as well as for other inquiries
    • IHCP updates
  • CareSource - Network Credentialing and Contracting (10:15 a.m.-11 a.m.) -Join CareSource to learn about the Health Partner Lifecycle onboarding process, including:
    • How to request a contract via the online New Health Partner Contract Form
    • Review of the credentialing and database-loading process, including types of providers that are credentialed, use of credentials verification organizations (CVOs), and welcome letters
    • Overview of the secure CareSource Provider Portal - how to register, functions and features, and why the portal saves time and money. (The portal is available for registration after onboarding.)
  • Behavioral Health Roundtable with the Managed Care Entities (MCEs) (11:15 a.m.-12 p.m.) This session will provide an overview of Behavioral Health Services offered by Anthem, CareSource, MDwise, and Managed Health Solutions (MHS). The format will include a roundtable discussion - perfect for answering providers' general questions on the topic. (Note that questions about specific claims and billing guidance should be directed to the provider representatives from the individual MCEs).
  • Anthem - Updates for Hoosier Healthwise, Health Indiana Plan (HIP), and Hoosier Care Connect (1p.m.-1:30 p.m.) - This session will cover important provider updates for summer 2017, including:
    • Anthem website
    • Prior authorization (PA)
    • Telemedicine
    • Member ID updates
    • Tools and resources
  • MDwise - MDwise Portal (1:30 p.m.-2:15 p.m.) - The MDwise Provider Relations team will present the new payer portal, including:
    • Registration and navigation of the portal's functionality
    • Submitting, viewing, and disputing claims
    • Coordination of benefits
    • Helpful hints and more
  • MHS - MHS Updates (2:30 p.m.- 3 p.m.) - This session describes updates to:
    • The durable medical equipment (DME) and home medical equipment (HME) authorization process
    • Therapy authorization requirements
    • CentAccount member incentive program
    • Hoosier Care Connect member transition
  • MCE and DXC Roundtable (3 p.m.-3:30 p.m.) - This popular open forum encourages providers to ask questions and discuss issues with representatives from MCEs and DXC.

If you register online, you will receive immediate confirmation. Be sure to register early, as workshops fill up quickly. If for some reason you are unable to register or do not receive a confirmation, please feel free to attend, regardless. Registration is strongly encouraged, but walk-ins will be allowed if space is available.

Please note: When registering to attend the workshop, providers must register for each session they would like to attend.
